This blog will tell of my experiences studying Arabic in Israel/Palestine during 2013 and 2014. I identify with the concept of the "wandering jew" because I like to travel and have never quite felt 100% at home anywhere. Although raised half Jewish in the Reform Style, I like the term "jewtheist" since I embrace Jewish values in a secular sense but do not necessarily believe in a Holy Bearded Guy Sitting In The Sky.

Petra
Pardon the messup in the timeline...I'm going to be posting last week's events backwards. First is Petra, which is incredible! The colors, the arcitecture...Aside from the crazy horse carts running like mad through the narrow entrance pathway between the cliffsides...kind of scary and dangerous...I felt bad for the animals ;-(...
