A wandering jewtheist

This blog will tell of my experiences studying Arabic in Israel/Palestine during 2013 and 2014. I identify with the concept of the "wandering jew" because I like to travel and have never quite felt 100% at home anywhere. Although raised half Jewish in the Reform Style, I like the term "jewtheist" since I embrace Jewish values in a secular sense but do not necessarily believe in a Holy Bearded Guy Sitting In The Sky.

Umm al-Fahem, Netanya outing, and Kibbutz Ein Shemer - week of April 13th

A few shots from the streets of Umm al-Fahem, shopping in Netanya with my host family, and visiting an arts festival at Kibbutz Ein Shemer.
