This blog will tell of my experiences studying Arabic in Israel/Palestine during 2013 and 2014.
I identify with the concept of the "wandering jew" because I like to travel and have never quite felt 100% at home anywhere. Although raised half Jewish in the Reform Style, I like the term "jewtheist" since I embrace Jewish values in a secular sense but do not necessarily believe in a Holy Bearded Guy Sitting In The Sky.

The holiest place of war
From last week: a visit to the holiest place of religious wars with Mom and Dad. Known to Jews as Yerushalayim (meaning "Jerusalem"), and to Muslims as Al-Quds (meaning "the holy place").
