A wandering jewtheist

This blog will tell of my experiences studying Arabic in Israel/Palestine during 2013 and 2014. I identify with the concept of the "wandering jew" because I like to travel and have never quite felt 100% at home anywhere. Although raised half Jewish in the Reform Style, I like the term "jewtheist" since I embrace Jewish values in a secular sense but do not necessarily believe in a Holy Bearded Guy Sitting In The Sky.

Yad Vashem & Our friends the Lutzkers

Last week, we also visited Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Museum) and had dinner with our friends the Lutzker family. Mom and Dad are friends with the matriarch of this family, Marylin. Her son Alon is married to Ella, who is from Israel, and they have the most adorable kids ever!
